The system supports multiple design versions - that is, if
you'd like to try 3 variations on a design, you simply select the original design and
create 3 versions using it as a starting point. Any design in the
system can be used as the parent design for multiple child designs. The design files are
organized for easy access in a logical treeview system. The
main screen, shown above, provides an intuitive display of files and command
options. Users can create new designs, copy existing ones, modify, delete
or post designs with a single click.
User Management
Drawings are 'owned' by Designers, or Design Teams. Each Designer or
Design Team can access their own designs, but must be given rights to view or
edit other's work. A "Manager" or Managers assigns viewing and editing
rights to Teams and Designers.

Built-in Online Help System
Documentation is a hallmark of CMD's products. Expert Designer includes
a traditional Windows Help system with an overview section, and clear
documentation for each command in the system.

Behind the Scenes
Expert Designer is a Delphi Object Pascal based Application. User and
Drawing data is managed in Oracle Database tables (readily ported to other SQL
compliant database systems). The standard Windows interface provides
intuitive access to all of your project files. The traditional Windows
Help file provides single click access to help for any command in the system.
